My ChemDrawExcelAddin is not loading even though I have administrator rights and am enabling the addin through the Excel options. How can I get ChemDraw for Excel to load on my machine?

A value in your computer's registry may not be correct and that is what is causing the problem.

Log on to the machine as Admin (make sure Excel is not running) and check the following LoadBehavior value. It should be set to 3; if not, change the value from 2 to 3.

• Open up the registry by going to Start > Search field (or Run) > 'regedit'
• 32 bit OS:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins\ChemDrawExcelAddIn12.ExcelAddIn]. Set the "LoadBehavior"=dword:00000003
• 64 bit OS:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins\ChemDrawExcelAddIn12.ExcelAddIn]. Set the "LoadBehavior"=dword:00000003

Now launch Excel and check for the ChemOffice menu. If you are not able to view the ChemOffice menu once again, check the above registry value. It may have been reset by the Windows Operating System. If so, Support will need to be contacted at http://www.cambridgesoft.com/contact/support/.
