Problem:
ChemDraw is very slow on certain operations.
Solution:
Assuming you are using a MacOS X native version of ChemDraw, make sure ChemDraw is not running and delete your ChemDraw preferences files, namely the com.cambridgesoft.plist and com.cambridgesoft.chemdraw.plist files located in your username folder under Library:Preferences. Now retest.
