Product: ChemDraw
The atom labels and captions in many structures are misaligned when I paste a structure via the Clipboard into my word processing application.
This issue concerns all versions of ChemDraw. Both ChemDraw and many word processors have a Fractional Character Width setting that, when selected, gives you a better screen representation of the spacing between non-proportional fonts so they appear very close to what you will see when you print to a laser printer. However, if the Fractional Character Width setting differs between CS ChemDraw and the application you are pasting to, -- i.e. It is selected in one and deselected in the other -- the result will be misalignment of atom labels.
The solution to this problem is to either have both settings selected, or have both settings deselected. If you are using System 6, we suggest that you deselect this setting in both applications. If you are using System 7, we suggest that you select this setting in both applications.
Due to performance considerations, you should not check this preference if you are using System 7 on a 68000 (MacPlus, SE, Portable or Classic) or 68020 (MacII, LC) based Macintosh.
