Why am I receiving HTTP 504 Errors when executing an analysis script via the Image Analysis view?
HTTP 504 warning messages are essentially time-outs, which occur because the image processing (which takes place on the Columbus server) takes a long time and so a warning is passed to the client web browser.
It is not unexpected to see this behaviour if a user is processing multiple wells/fields in the Image Analysis view, rather than processing just a single image or a couple of images. The image analysis view is not designed to analyse large batches of images, its intended functionality is to tailor your analysis scripts on a single image (or a few images) at a time, and then once the scripts have been perfected, you should use the batch analysis functionality to process the entire plate.
Despite the warning message displayed in the browser, the image processing will continue in the background and will still generate the correct results.
