Problem:
Unable to install ".mobileconfig" file as a profile when configuring Kerberos for TIBCO Spotfire for Apple iOS app
Solution:
To use Kerberos authentication with the TIBCO Spotfire for Apple iOS app, you must configure your mobile device to use Kerberos. This can be accomplished by creating and installing a configuration profile. See Enabling Kerberos authentication for more details. While installing the ".mobileconfig" file as a profile, it might fail with the following error.
Profile Installation Failed Profile Failed to Install
This issue can be seen if one or more values in the file are not in the correct format. One common example is incorrect "URLPrefixMatches" values. If the "URLPrefixMatches" value is missing "HTTP" or "HTTPS", then the profile might fail to download. Also, the value for "URLPrefixMatches" is case sensitive so it should all be in lower case. To resolve, validate the content of the .mobileconfig file according to the KBA How to enable Kerberos authentication with the TIBCO Spotfire for Apple iOS app and the Sample sso.mobileconfig file documentation reference and try to install again.
