How to embedded additional columns from an external source.
You want your source for the main data table to be linked to the data source, but you have added additional columns to your table and want them to be embedded. How do you update the embedded columns?
When you save the analyst file to the library, you will see a blue link, “Review or edit settings”.
When you click on this link you then have the option to change your Excel data table to be “Stored Data”.
If you want to reload new data from the Excel spread sheet, you would need to click on View, Data. In the data panel, click on the little gear in the top corner of the panel, then click on Source view. You will see the icon for your Excel sheet, then click on the little file cabinet. You can click on the reload icon next to “Last reload”.
