How to use Auto-Zoom in map chart using Marking?

Customers often want to be able to use the Auto-Zoom functionality in map charts based on Marking as opposed to Filtering.  This is possible if the map chart is set up as a Details Visualization derived from a parent visualization. To accomplish this, create a visualization using map chart data.  This can be any kind of visualization, and any kind of map chart data, including a shapefile.  Right-click on this visualization, select 'Create Details Visualization', then select "Map Chart".  For the newly created map chart go into Properties/Appearance and check the box for 'Auto-Zoom', then click "Close".  When data is selected in the parent visualization the map chart will automatically zoom into the selected records.
