While opening the embedded document in Word for Mac, the embedded ChemDraw structures have disappeared. Instead of ChemDraw structures, it shows {EMBED ChemDraw.Document.6.0}

It is possible the “Field codes instead of values” box in the “Show in Document” area is selected.

Please try the following in your version of Word for Mac.

1. Open the Word document using Word for Mac.
2. Select "Preferences" from the Word menu.
3. Click on the View button (present under 'Authoring and Proofing Tools') in the Word Preferences.
4. Uncheck the "Field codes instead of values" checkbox present in the View dialog box (present under "Show in Document" ) as in the Field codes instead of values.jpg.
5. Close the dialog box and retest the problem.
