How do I prevent the hardware acceleration prompt in Chem3D from appearing every time I launch the software?

When you launch Chem3D, the software will ask if you wish to enable or disable hardware acceleration.

To prevent this dialog box from appearing every time, you need to select one of the options and put a checkmark on "I have read this. Please don't show me this again" and click OK.

If you need to disable the dialog box for all users via the registry key, you need to look for the “Show OpenGL Setup Dialog” key under

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\PerkinElmerInformatics\Chem3D\21.0\General\Global

Changing the value to 0 will turn off the dialog box so users will not see it when they launch the software and will use the default settings.

Note:  The path provided is for version 21.  For any other version, please change the folder name to the version you are working with.
