Hi,
There are no settings in ChemDraw to enable or disable this feature. The first recommendation is to confirm that you have the latest touch-pad drivers/software installed from your computer manufacturer.
There are some hardware configurations where this option simply will not work.
If the issue continues, please submit a support ticket so we can assist you further.

There could be a few reasons why you are unable to side scroll in ChemDraw 22 using your trackpad on a Windows laptop. Here are a few potential causes and solutions to try:
The trackpad settings on your laptop may need to be adjusted. You can try going to the "Mouse & touchpad" settings in the Windows Control Panel and increasing the sensitivity of the trackpad.
The trackpad driver on your laptop may be out of date. You can try updating the trackpad driver to see if that resolves the issue.
There may be a compatibility issue between ChemDraw 22 and your trackpad. In this case, you may need to use an external mouse or other input device to perform side scrolling in ChemDraw.

I guess it's a side effect of MS moving forward to a trackpad API. Seems like the Synaptics doesn't handle trackpad behavior itself anymore, but sends input straight to Windows which handles it and provides a unique experience as well as one API for all manufacturer. At least it's what I hope.
