Spotfire: Replace a data table from the Data canvas

Prior to this task:

✔ Data must be loaded.

✔ Data canvas must be opened.

1️⃣ Data canvas ➡ Data tables ➡ select "data table name"
2️⃣ Data canvas ➡ select [Replace]
3️⃣ Replace data table flyout ➡ browse and select new data file
4️⃣ Import Settings window ➡ select [OK]
5️⃣ Replace data table flyout ➡ select [OK]

Supporting Knowledge

Notes:

• The Match Columns window only pops up when columns from the current data cannot be matched automatically with the new data.
• When replacing a data table, only the operations that were done on the final data table (such as calculated columns, data type changes, etc.) will be retained, whereas transformations, added rows or columns, and other intermediate operations will disappear.
