Spotfire: Add a Pivot transformation from the Data canvas

Prior to this task:

✔ Data must be loaded.

✔ Data canvas must be opened.

1️⃣ Data canvas ➡ Data tables ➡ select "data table name"
2️⃣ Data canvas ➡ select [Click to see operations...] ➡ select [Add transformations]
3️⃣ Transform data window ➡ Transformations ➡ select Pivot
4️⃣ Transform data window ➡ select [Insert]
5️⃣ Pivot Data window ➡ select Row identifiers Column titles (%C) Values (%V) and aggregation methods (%M) Column naming pattern Transfer columns (%T) and aggregation methods (%A) Transfer column naming pattern
6️⃣ Pivot Data window ➡ select [OK]
7️⃣ Transform data window ➡ select [OK]

Supporting Knowledge

The Pivot transformation allows the user to change the data table from a tall/skinny format to a short/wide format.

Alternatively, the user can apply a Pivot transformation when loading data. Select [Files and data], then from the Add data to analysis panel, select [Transform data].
