Spotfire: Define a new relation between two data tables

Prior to this task:

✔ Data must be loaded.

✔ At least two data tables must be available.

1️⃣ Active page ➡ select Data ➡ select Data table properties
2️⃣ Data Table Properties window ➡ select Relations
3️⃣ Data Table Properties window ➡ select [Manage Relations...]
4️⃣ Manage Relations window ➡ Show relations for ➡ select data table
5️⃣ Manage Relations window ➡ select [New...]
6️⃣ New Relation window ➡ select Left and Right data table Left and Right column Left and Right method
7️⃣ New Relation window ➡ select [OK]
8️⃣ Manage Relations window ➡ select [OK] (This last action is also taken for the Data Table Properties window)

Notes:

Relations are set up to propagate marking and filtering.
The Left and Right methods are useful when the columns the user wants to match are not of the same type and the user needs to force them to create the relation.
