If you are attempting to run the Spotfire for Signals Portable through Parallels on a Mac, the software may fail on initialization with the following error:

Root Cause: Depending on where you uncompress TIBCO_Spotfire_for_Signals_Portable.zip and launch Spotfire.EXP.exe, an additional directory is created. This additional directory can exceed the maximum path length of 256 characters, leading to the above error.
Workaround: To resolve this issue, please move TIBCO_Spotfire_for_Signals_Portable.zip to the C: drive. Uncompress the file and then run the executable from this location. If you create additional folders, it's good practice to keep the maximum path length to a minimum.
Important Note: Please bear in mind that running Spotfire for Signals Portable through Parallels on a Mac is not tested by the Revvity team. Depending on the age of your Mac and its processor type, you may also need to consider compatibility issues, such as:
