Release Announcement - E-Notebook 23.1

Revvity Signals is excited to announce the first Revvity branded release of E-Notebook 23.1.

This release provides E-Notebook installers compatible with CDAX 20.1.13 (64-bit), Oracle Cartridge 19.2, GraphPad Prism 10.1 (64-bit), BIOVIA Draw 2023 (64-bit), Latest versions of MS Office (64-bit) and Adobe Acrobat /Reader DC continuous (64-bit), latest patches of Oracle 19c, latest versions of Reaxys and integration with CBOE 23.1.

This version also supports Windows 2022 server and RHEL 8.7 as Database servers and Windows 2022 server as Application server.

The main highlight of this release is the inclusion of the In-Database Archiving feature. This feature could allow for faster E-Notebook browsing and searching when older content is archived.

This version of E-Notebook also has enhancements and quality improvements based on internal findings and customer feedback.

The following new items and improvements are provided in this release:

• Rebranded to reflect Revvity Signals Software Inc. company name.
• In-Database Archiving.
• Global configuration settings for COE integration.
• Support for embedded EMF, WMF, EMZ, TIF/TIFF images in Chemical Structure rendering.
• Improvements to Populate Chem SVG field scripts.
• Pagination dashboard, using customized RDLIMS dashboard queries.
• AES usage in offline data encryption with FIPS compliance.
• Sign and Close process with view of signed version without Adobe dependency (External Signature).
• Ability to copy or export information from Session Manager.
• Configurable behavior of Favorites field when using column grouping.
• User can choose export to word as single page-by-page or Single File as Export mode.
• A new "long text" type that is stored on a CLOB instead of the very limited ENTEREDVALUE column that allows the ELN application to store, display, and search longer strings.

• Expired materials from Inventory are no longer available to use.
• SVG image support in Link to supplementary data section (SDM)
• Support for latest versions of 64-bit 3rd party add-ins.
• Support for CBOE 23.1 integration.

Audience and Distribution Limitations

E-Notebook 23.1 release is a general release software product intended for distribution to customers using English and Japanese Operating Systems.

Refer to the Release Notes and E-Notebook 23.1 Hardware and Software Guide for the qualified platforms for this release and for any software limitations and known issues and their workarounds.
