This article describes the size limitations of document properties, data table properties and column properties in the Spotfire client.

Resolution:
Currently, the maximum size of document properties, data table properties and column properties in Spotfire is 65,535 characters. Any characters beyond this limit are truncated. To avoid issues with data truncation and loss when stored in properties, ensure that all property values contain fewer than 65,536 characters.

Note: there is currently some variation in the maximum size allowed by various user interfaces used to show or edit property values in Spotfire - in some, only up to a maximum of 32,767 characters can be used.
