Summary:
The TIBCO-branded versions of DataDirect JDBC drivers, which previously came pre-installed with Spotfire Server, are removed, and not supported starting with Spotfire version 14.0.

When you upgrade from a previous (pre-14.0) version of Spotfire, it will still show you the DataDirect data source templates in the Configuration tool only for your reference to help with migration. However, during the upgrade, it will be disabled, and enabling it will not work because this driver class is not available from version 14.0 LTS.
Whereas, if you do a fresh install of Spotfire 14.0 LTS, then you will not see these DataDirect data source templates as they are now removed.
Resolution:
If you use any of the above DataDirect drivers in your Spotfire environment, you must migrate to using vendor-specific JDBC drivers for connectivity before (recommended) or as part of your upgrade to Spotfire 14.0 LTS.
