How to change the data source of a Spotfire Information link from Oracle to SQL Server

Details:
While changing the existing data source of the information link from Oracle to SQL Server, redirection of dependent elements is required. This option appears in the data source tab of the Tools Menu >> Information Designer, after saving the data source.

Resolution:
Prerequisites:
A) Oracle data source is already present in the information designer.
B) Default information model is already present for a table made from Oracle data source.

Below are the detailed steps:

1) Open Spotfire Analyst >> Tools Menu >> Information Designer. Open the saved Oracle data source.
2) Now to point the same information link to the SQL Server database, you need to do redirect dependent elements.
3) To do this, change the Oracle connection in the data source to "SQL Server" by selecting "SQL Server" from the drop-down list.
4) Enter the SQL Server relevant information in it. Now, save and close the data source. 
5) Reopen the data source and enter the desired values in the redirect dependent elements section.

Example: 
                Database Catalog                     Schema

From:                                                  Oracle_Schema_Name

To: SQL_SERVER_DATABASE          SQL_Server_Schema_Name

Note: As the Oracle database doesn't have database catalog, the "From" database catalog text box is left blank.

6) Click on the 'Test Redirection' button and you will get a pop-up window, displaying the number of elements changed. Now click on the 'Save' button to save the changes.
7) Now, close the data source tab and check the new path for any column element.
8) You will see that the SQL Server Schema Name is still not present in the column element path. To correct this, we need to repeat the redirect dependent elements step as below:

                 Database Catalog                   Schema

From: SQL_SERVER_DATABASE      Oracle_Schema_Name

To: SQL_SERVER_DATABASE          SQL_Server_Schema_Name

9) Now click on the save button and close the Information designer. Now reopen it, to check the path of the column element(s).
