Summary:
Spotfire Web Player fails to open analysis that is based on SBDF data source.
Details:
The TIBCO Spotfire Binary Data Format (SBDF) stores the data and metadata from your analysis in binary form. It can be used to greatly increase the performance when working with linked data in TIBCO Spotfire.
Spotfire Analysis files which has SBDF files as datasource may fail to open in Web Player with the following message in logs:
Spotfire.Dxp.Web.WebAnalysis;"Unable to open file '/xxxxxxxx/yyyyyyyyy/zzzzzzzzzzzz'"
Spotfire.Dxp.Data.Exceptions.ImportException: Failed to execute data source query for data source "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa". ---> Spotfire.Dxp.Data.Exceptions.ImportException: Failed to open data source. ---> Spotfire.Dxp.Framework.Library.LibraryException: Library entry with id=835eb652-eb14-455b-9ef7-2443482f15ee does not exist.
Resolution:
Make sure the users/group has at least browse+access rights to the Spotfire library folder that contains SBDF files. This solution is also applicable for Analyses, GeoAnalytics files,and Data Connections stored in Library.
Note: To execute Information Links, only access rights are needed.
