Details:
TIBCO® Data Science Service for TIBCO Spotfire® (also known as Statistica Service) is a REST API web service that enables users to concurrently access Statistica capabilities in the Spotfire environment. It supports the execution of Statistica data functions submitted by TIBCO Spotfire® Analyst or TIBCO Spotfire® Consumer users.
PREREQUISITES:
1. TIBCO Spotfire Server 11.4 with administrator permissions.
2. Download TIBCO® Data Science Service for TIBCO Spotfire® from: https://edelivery.tibco.com/storefront/view-component-download.ep?partNumber=01011693
Resolution:
1. Extract the downloaded TIB_stat-sts_13.6.0_win.zip file.
2. Login to the Spotfire Server Administration Console with administrator credentials
3. Click on Deployments and Packages and choose the deployment area for deploying the Statistica package
4. Click on 'Add Package' and select the "StatisticaService.sdn" by browsing to the unzipped installation media for this package.
5. Select 'Upload' and wait for the upload to complete.

4. Click on 'Add Package' and select the "StatisticaService.sdn" by browsing to the unzipped installation media for this package.
5. Select 'Upload' and wait for the upload to complete.
6. Check the deployment area to ensure the new packages are loaded and then click on 'Validate' button to validate the newly added packages.
7. Save the deployment by clicking on 'Save Area'.
Adding Statistica Service to a Spotfire Server Node
1. Login to Spotfire Server Administration Console and navigate to 'Nodes & Services'. Select the required node that you want to install the Statistica Service on
2. Click the 'Install new service' button
3. Choose 'Statistica' under the Capability dropdown, verify the information in the auto populated fields, and click on "Install and Start".
