Unable to open the configuration or upgrade tool on TIBCO Spotfire Server
Details:
When attempting to launch the TIBCO Spotfire Server configuration tool (after an upgrade, for example) or the upgrade tool, the applications may not launch and nothing will happen.
Resolution:
This issue can be seen when the Windows PowerShell path is not set on the machine. To resolve:

When attempting to launch the TIBCO Spotfire Server configuration tool (after an upgrade, for example) or the upgrade tool, the applications may not launch and nothing will happen.
Resolution:
This issue can be seen when the Windows PowerShell path is not set on the machine. To resolve:
1. Open the System properties on the TIBCO Spotfire Server machine:
2. Click on the "Environment Variables" button:
3. Select the system variable PATH and edit:
4. Add the system path for WindowsPowerShell (for example "%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\"), click on OK and the Close.
Now you will be able to open the Configuration Tool or Upgrade Tool without any issue.
