Description: Users are experiencing an issue where dataset names are missing in the search window when attempting to republish an existing dataset using the Publish Measurement App. (The existing data tables present in Signals Data Factory (SDF) are not being brought in for republishing.)
Solution: This issue arises when the file in SDF is modified, which results in the removal of the file metadata information, making it impossible to view the dataset names. To resolve this, you need to manually replace the file metadata or ensure it is intact before replacing the file in Signals Data Factory.
Steps to Restore File Metadata:
-
Navigate to File Metadata:
- Open Signals Data Factory.
- Go to the desired dataset.
- Click on the dataset name and open the Action panel as shown in the image below.
-
Access File Metadata:
- Click on the Settings (Gear Symbol).
- When the settings window pops up, you will be able to see the File Metadata as shown in the image below.
-
Restore Metadata Information:
- Manually restore the file metadata information.
- Ensure all necessary metadata details are correctly entered.
-
Republish the Dataset:
- Once the metadata is restored, you should be able to see the dataset in the Publish Measurement App.
- Make sure you are using the same measurement type and the same mapping to reflect the dataset accurately.
