Description:
Users are experiencing an issue where the visualizations date format is displayed differently in Spotfire Web Player compared to Spotfire Analyst. The expected date format is M/D/YYYY h:mm AM/PM, but some users are seeing D/M/YYYY 00:00:00. This issue affects only a subset of users and is not consistent across all Web Player sessions.
Resolution:
1. Check Browser Language Settings:
- Verify and update the browser language settings on the affected users' machines.
- Instruct users to navigate to their browser's language settings and change the default language to English (United States).
2. Update Regional Settings:
- Ensure the Web Player Node and users' machines are set to English (United States) region settings.
- Go to the Web Player node configuration and update the Region from "match Windows display language" to English (United States).
- On the user's machine, update the System Locale to English (United States) as well.
Note:
This issue arises from a mismatch between regional settings on the Web Player node, users' machines, and browser language settings. The recommended solution is to synchronize all regional and language settings across these environments to English (United States) for consistent date formatting.
