When pinning a Mod that is saved to the library, if the Mod suddenly does not show up in the Visualization list, there may be corrupted files preventing the Mod from showing up in the Visualization flyout list.
After setting debug in the Analyst client, the following error is seen in the Client debug log:
2024-10-30T14:22:19,997-04:00 2024-10-30 18:22:19,997 <USER> [Mod Installer Background Thread] WARN Spotfire.Dxp.Application.Mods.InstalledMods [(null)] - Failed to read local mod at 'C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\Spotfire\14.0\Mods\animated-bubble-chart.mod'. Issues: Unable to read mod. The content is not a valid mod ASiC-E container
The errors in the log are related to issues reading mod files from the local cache, which appear to contain some corrupted files. While the application should handle this automatically, you can manually clear or rename the local mod cache folder (located at C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\Spotfire\14.0\Mods)
After restarting the Analyst client, the pinned Mods should return to the Visualization flyout list.
