Return summarized data
Different scientific teams review and analyze data through different workflows. To support these workflows, users can decide how they want to analyze their data by choosing to focus on either summarized data or unsummarized data. When the Return summarized data checkbox is enabled, query criteria will be applied directly to the summarized values. For transparency, all values that comprise the average are still displayed in the measurement tables when the query is run.
By default, users set search criteria on summarized data and return summary data (e.g., Avg(IC50) > 50)). When enabled, this setting applies globally to the entire search.
Disabling the Return summarized data checkbox will remove the Summary Table; summarization is not performed, and the criteria are applied directly to the individual attribute values. The Measurement Table is directly filtered so that all unsummarized data must meet the criteria, and only those values that meet the criteria are returned.
Users can specify whether to summarize by Compound ID or Batch ID:
- Compound ID: Summary table aggregates across multiple batches for the same compound.
- Batch ID: Summary table aggregates only across the same batch for a given compound.
