Description:
This is a step-by-step guide for configuring the ChemDraw JS editor within Lead Discovery module on Spotfire Server.
Solution:
- To configure the ChemDraw JS editor in Spotfire Server:
- Ensure you have the correct version of the Lead Discovery deployment files to match your Spotfire Server version.
- Locate the cdjs WAR file in the Additional Software folder of the installer package.
- Stop the Spotfire Server service.
- Copy the WAR file to the <Spotfire-Server>\tomcat\webapps directory on the Spotfire Server machine(s). Note, it needs to be copied to all Spotfire Server machines in Spotfire cluster.
- Check <Spotfire-Server>\tomcat\conf\server.xml file and modify these 2 parameters inside Engine\Host tag as follows:
autoDeploy="true"
unpackWARs="true">
In some versions, these parameters might be set to "false". If this is the case, change them to "true". - Restart the Spotfire Server service.
- Set up in Spotfire Analyst:
1. Log in to Spotfire Analyst as Spotfire administrator.
2. Go to Tools menu> Administration Manager> Preferences, select the relevant group, then LeadDiscovery StructureEditorPreferences. Set the “ChemDraw JS URL to http(s)://<your-spotfire-server-URL>/cdjs/chemdrawweb (replace the URL with your server's hostname)
3. Restart the Node Manager service to apply changes to the Web Player (by pressing "Update" button on Nodes&Services page).
4. Verify configuration by checking if ChemDraw JS is operational. If errors persist or Administration Manager functionality is unavailable, ensure that Analyst is updated to the correct version matching the Server.
