Signals ChemDraw 25.5 Release
Revvity Signals is delighted to announce the release of ChemDraw v25.5 for ChemDraw Prime, Professional & Signals ChemDraw. This minor release of ChemDraw Desktop focuses on property calculations, HELM handling, and extended Python support for ChemScript. We’ve also addressed a number of bugs to ensure a smoother experience.

ChemDraw Desktop v25.5 Updates

Properties Calculations
- LogP and Molar Refractivity (MR) calculations are now powered by RDKit
- Property calculations have also been optimized for efficiency

Advanced Biopolymer (HELM) Improvements
- Improved biopolymer clean-up of complementary strands
- Sequence selection behavior has been improved to use double and triple click behaviors
- 'Copy As HELM (natural analog)' updated to 'Copy as FASTA' for clarity
Python Support
- ChemScript now supports Python versions 3.13.x, 3.10.x, and 3.9.x
ChemDraw+
Exclusive to Signals ChemDraw offering and released continuously throughout the year in the Signals Platform, ChemDraw+ is a cloud-native version of ChemDraw allowing you to create, manage and curate your drawings using a web browser.
Chemistry Improvements
- Enhanced selection behavior for atoms, bonds and structures for visual clarity
- Attach Data can now be added as chemically significant
- Name to Structure capability expanded to use ChemACX
- Periodic table tool now available, with the ability to create atom lists
- Chemical objects can now be copied as ‘MolV3000 (Expanded)’
- Chemical Object colors can now be changed
- Ring Fill coloring can now be applied
- Mass Fragmentation tool now available
- Alignment tools now available
Advanced Biopolymer (HELM) Improvements
- Drawing of individual RNA/DNA monomers when editing biopolymers is now possible
- Hydrogen bonded fragments are now treated as a single structure
- Monomers can now be selected in bulk for replacement
- Monomers can now be searched for, found and replaced when editing biopolymers
- Copy As HELM (natural analog)' updated to 'Copy as FASTA'
Expanded Application Capabilities
- Drawing settings are now customizable providing enhanced control to create drawings tailored to specific formatting needs
- Basic chemical properties are available in the Analysis panel and can be pasted onto the canvas
- “Created by” filter now available on the Dashboard
- Drawings can be exported as molfiles and sdfiles (v3000)
