Can the full Spotfire installed client (Spotfire Analyst or Spotfire Desktop) be installed directly on Linux or MacOS?

Can the full Spotfire installed client (Spotfire Analyst or Spotfire Desktop) be installed directly on Linux or MacOS? No.  The full Spotfire installed client (Spotfire Analyst or Spotfire Desktop) is a Windows .NET application.

If you need to install the full Spotfire client on a Linux or Macintosh (MacOS) machine, you will need to install a Windows emulator or virtual machine (VM) on it, then install the full Spotfire desktop client inside that Windows VM.

There is an app that enables Business Author capabilities on MacOS. With this app, users can perform any operations that are possible with the 'Business Author' license. It is not a full Spotfire client, however.
