How to set a default language for Spotfire Analyst at the group level.

TIBCO Spotfire supports multiple languages for the Spotfire Analyst/Client. This can be set for each user, or for a Spotfire user group. Below document explains how to set the default language for a group, instead of setting the language for each user at the user level. The following steps show how to set the default language at the Group level:

1) Open Spotfire Analyst as an Admin user, then select "Tools > Administration Manager" from the main menu.

2) Click on the Preferences tab and select the group "Everyone" (if you want to set it up for all Spotfire users), or select the desired user group.

3) Expand the Application tree and select Application Preferences.

4) Click on the Edit button and select Language.

5) From the drop-down, select the Language, such as ja-JP. Close it. Below is the reference image:



Note that the Spotfire language pack for the language you have specified in the above step also needs to be deployed to the Spotfire Server deployment area used by this Group. If it is not present in the deployed software packages, then the default language pack (English) will be used.
