Problem:

Data is rounded off after 15th position in the exported Excel file.


Solution:

Inside TIBCO Spotfire Analyst, if a column has data such as "01000700011010011" (greater than 15 digits), then after doing an export to Excel, all digit’s after the 15th place is replaced by 0.

Example: Data present inside TIBCO Spotfire Analyst = 01000700011010011
                   Data after opening the exported excel file = 01000700011010000 Workarounds:

1). Convert the data type of the desired column from “Longinteger” to “text” inside TIBCO Spotfire Analyst. Then export the file through TIBCO Spotfire Analyst or TIBCO Spotfire Web Player.

2). Do not open the exported file directly into Excel by double clicking on it. First, open the Excel. Then click on the "Open" option and locate the desired file. Click the "OK" button (import wizard). Select the type of delimiters as per your requirement and change the type of the desired column to "text". http://www.mrexcel.com/archive/Formatting/24524.html
