'The task could not be completed. Unable to load the file. File access denied.' error is seen while accessing an analysis file on TIBCO Spotfire Web Player
While accessing an analysis file in the Web Player, the following error will be seen by all the users, including the members of "Administrator" group.
The following error will be seen in server.log file.
ERROR 2020-01-01T11:11:11,922-0300 [user@domain.com, #50, #500] wp.controller.ErrorPageController: Reference=xxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx,waid=xxxxxxxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx ClientError: Unable to load the file. File access denied.
System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '<TIBCO Spotfire Node Manager Installation Directory>\tibco\tsnm\<version>\nm\services\WebWorker-xx.x.xxxxx.xxxx-xxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxx\Temp\xxxxxxxxxx-x\Library-xxxx\xxxxxxxx-xxxxxx.temp' is denied.
This issue can be seen if the service account running the "TIBCO Spotfire Node Manager" service does not have read and write access to the '<TIBCO Spotfire Node Manager Installation Directory>\tibco\tsnm\<version>\nm\services' path. As a result, Spotfire is not able to read/write into that directory.
To resolve this issue, grant read and write access permissions to the service account running "TIBCO Spotfire Node Manager" service on the following directory.
<TIBCO Spotfire Node Manager Installation Directory>\tibco\tsnm.
