Problem:

Do the Web authentication methods (OpenID Connect, etc) of the TIBCO Spotfire Server work on Mobile devices?


Solution:

This article will help you understand if Web authentication methods (OpenID Connect, etc) of the TIBCO Spotfire Server will work when using the TIBCO Spotfire mobile applications or not.  Yes, the Web authentication OAuth is supported for use on the Android mobile application and the Apple iOS application.

Both mobile applications support most authentication methods that are supported by the TIBCO Spotfire Server (as defined in the System Requirements) and the only exceptions are explicitly listed in the mobile app System Requirements here:
