White Map Chart with endless spinning circle in TIBCO Spotfire Analyst
Sometimes when you use default created map chart in TIBCO Spotfire Analyst, you might see the map being white with an endless spinning circle.
From the What is a Map Chart? help document:
The map layers allow you to display your data on a tile based web map from TIBCO GeoAnalytics. Map layers are always used as a reference layer and cannot be interacted with directly. The available default maps can either be compound standard maps which include both borders, labels and roads, or you can use separate layers for each type of information and select only the information of interest.
It is also possible to add other Tile Map Service layers, TMS layers, as reference layers.
One reason for this issue is that a TMS layer is set as one of the default layers and the defined URL is not a valid one.
To resolve, check Tools > Options > Map Chart. Under Default layers, see if TMS Layer is added. If so, click on TMS layer and select Settings. Verify if the URL is valid.
Another simple way to resolve this map chart issue is to simply remove TMS Layer from the Default layers, and restart TIBCO Spotfire Analyst
