Problem:

How to disable TIBCO Spotfire Analyst users' ability to create Custom Expressions


Solution:

By disabling the following licenses, TIBCO Spotfire Analyst users can not create custom expressions.
 

  1. Go to Administration Manager > Groups and Licenses.
  2. Select the group of interest and select Licenses tab and Edit.
  3. Under TIBCO Spotfire Advanced Analytics uncheck Custom Expressions license.
  4. Under TIBCO Spotfire Analyst uncheck the following licenses.
    • Insert New Column
    • Change Column Selector
    • Simple Visualization Properties
    • Advanced Visualization Properties
Note: Users can still add a calculated column from the Data Panel. Doc: Administration Manager User’s Manual
