TIBCO Spotfire analysis file closes abruptly on TIBCO Spotfire Web Player with "No web application instance matches id" message in logs
In the situation where an analyses file is closed abruptly for end users accessing them via the TIBCO Spotfire Web Player, after the reports are closed you may see a lot of "No web application instance matches id" messages in the Web Player Spotfire.Dxp.Worker.Host and Spotfire.Dxp.Worker.Host.Debug log files. These can be seen with either INFO or DEBUG log level set. For example:
INFO <datetime> [<username>, #197093, #4061481] wp.controller.ViewAnalysisController: No web application instance matches id '80lNfc6COES-EkvZ7ogn6-230700459dbxrV', shutdown reason = 'Unknown'. Identifier must originate from a copied URL or a timed out analysis.
The message "No web application instance matches id" may appear in the Web Player log file when any open analyses files are closed abruptly on the Web Player. This symptom can be a result of invalidated sessions due to the Web Player instance restart or timeout. This message itself is not an indication of the root cause though and is just a secondary symptom.
To diagnose the root cause for why the Web Player instance was restarted or the user session was terminated, look in the Spotfire.Dxp.Worker.Host.Debug logs before the "No web application instance matches id" for any ERROR or WARN messages that will indicate the reason why the users session is no longer present on the Web Player.
If the issue persists and you cannot determine a root cause, please contact PerkinElmer support at https://support.revvitysignals.com/ for further assistance.
