Problem:
How to add a custom query in a data connection
Solution:
This article describes how to add your own custom query in a data connection Using TIBCO Spotfire Analyst version 7.14 and lower:
- Open your Analyst client.
- Go to File - Add data tables.
- Click the "Add" button, go to the section "Connection to" and add your preferred data connection.
- Logon to your data source.
- In the "Views in Connection" window, click the "Custom query" button.
- Add your query.
- Click the "Verify" button to verify the query is correct.
- Click OK.
Using TIBCO Spotfire Analyst version 10.0 and higher:
- Open your Analyst client.
- Go to the Files and data flyout, click "Connect to" and mark your preferred data connection.
- Click the "New connection" button and logon your data source.
- In the "Views in Connection" window, click the "Custom query" button.
- Add your query.
- Click the "Verify" button to verify the query is correct.
- Click OK.
