Problem:

How to cancel the scheduled update of a currently loading analysis file


Solution:

It may be needed to cancel the scheduled update of a report that is being cached by a File rule in Scheduled Updates. In this scenario, it is possible to cancel a currently loading report with the following method. To cancel a report that is currently being loaded by Scheduled Updates:

  1. Log in to Spotfire Server and click 'Scheduling & Routing'.
  2. Under the 'Activity' tab, and select the rule that is loading the file
  3. Click on the 'Cancel' button.
Note: SQL queries already being executed against a database may continue to run on the destination database, but the remaining report execution will be terminated. This 'Cancel' feature is available in Spotfire version 7.10 version and higher only. Doc: Scheduled updates to analyses
