Problem:
Problem exporting library files to a network shared folder.
Solution:
In a situation where you have two Spotfire Servers behind a load balancer, and the storage (export directory) resides in a shared drive on Server 1. Export will work on Server 1. On Server 2, the "invalid path" error will be seen when exporting a library file/folder to network shared folder with the following:
Starting export Cannot check file: \\sharedfolder\Imp-Exp\abcFolder Invalid path, path is outside: \\sharedfolder\Imp-Exp Problem exporting
1. Log on to the second Windows Server.
2. Go to "Services".
3. Find the "TIBCO Spotfire Server x.x" service (where x.x is the Spotfire Server version), right click, and select "Properties".
4. On the "Log on" tab, change to "This Account" and enter the user name and password for the account that has access to the shared drive.
5. Restart the TIBCO Spotfire Server service.
