Unable to select capability when installing new service
In Spotfire version 7.5 and above, sometimes users are unable to select Capability (Web Player or Automation Service) when installing new service. When they click the "Install New Service" button, they are unable to expand the drop-down menu under "Capability" to select any options. > Check if the packages from the 'Software packages' have been removed for any reason. That can cause this issue.
Go to 'Deployments & Packages' and select the Deployment area at the right side pane. Make sure the packages have not been removed by mistake from the 'Software packages', especially the 'Webworker', 'Worker' and 'AutomationServicesWorker' packages.
> To get these missing packages, need to deploy the "Spotfire.Dxp.sdn" & "Spotfire.Dxp.NodeManagerWindows.sdn" from the product deployment kit which can be downloaded from https://perkinelmerinformatics.flexnetoperations.com.
These packages usually deployed after the installation of TIBCO Spotfire Server and Node Manager.
The "Spotfire.Dxp.sdn" contains client packages. It must be deployed in order to use the Spotfire Analyst client and Spotfire web client.
The "Spotfire.Dxp.NodeManagerWindows.sdn" distribution file contains node manager packages. It must be deployed in order to use the Web Player and Automation Services.
