When upgrading Spotfire Server, the upgrade tool may fail with the following error:

"Unable to upgrade database" "com.spotfire.server.tools.upgrade.DatabaseUpgradeException: Database modification failed (2 rows modified, expected 1)".

This issue can occur if the SN_VERSION table in the Spotfire Database has a duplicate record. The SN_VERSION table contains the version details for the product. Having a duplicate record in it will prevent the upgrade. Use SQL statements that are appropriate for the type of database that is used as the Spotfire database to find and delete the SN_VERSION table's duplicate record.
