Problem:

Information Designer does not display the columns in specific MS SQL Server database views


Solution:

Information Designer does not display the columns in specific MS SQL Server database views, even though these can be viewed using SQL Management Studio If these columns are visible in the database (example: via SQL Management Studio) when accessed with the same user credentials as those used in Spotfire Information Designer, make sure these columns have "DataTypes" defined. If the columns have missing DataTypes, the JDBC drivers that connect the information link to the data source may fail to load them into Spotfire.
