Installing Web Player Service in Admin UI fails with errors, such as: "The machine contains more than 100 valid root certificates (278)".

Make sure the Spotfire Server and Spotfire Node Manager are installed on a supported operating system. These errors are common on a Windows 7 machine. The reason is that the list of trusted Certification Authorities on the machine is large. If these are installed on a supported operating system, then reduce the number of trusted CA certificates as described at the following URL.
