Is it possible for a column to be a dynamic link in Spotfire so that it is altered based on input data from a URL?
Yes, it is possible to create a dynamic link it Spotfire from a URL. First, you will need to create a table visualization. Next, right-click on the visualization, and select Properties>Columns. After adding the column of interest to the ‘Selected Columns:’ list, highlight the column name, and change the ‘Renderer:’ type to ‘Link’. Click on ‘Settings’ to configure the text of the URL by making sure the {$} marker is inserted into hyperlink to properly represent the cell value. See the help section for “Details on Link Renderer Settings” if you need more information. These steps will only work for URLs of type http://. To accept URLs of type enotebook:// you will need to go to Tools>Administration Manager and modify the preferences of ‘Allow Additional Uri Schemes’ and ‘Additional Uri Schemes’.
