Problem:

How can you override the automatic alphabetical sorting of column values in Spotfire?


Solution:

Go to Edit> Column Properties and select the column of interest. Click on the tab ‘Sort Order’, choose ‘Custom Sort Order’, and click on the ‘Configure…’ button. Here you can sort the values by moving them up or down. When finished click ‘OK’, then click ‘Apply Sort Order’, click ‘Apply’ to apply the changes made, and click ‘OK’ to close.
