Problem:
No sublayers show up in WMS layer 'Map' dialog in TIBCO Spotfire
Solution:
When using WMS layers in TIBCO Spotfire map charts, after connecting to the WMS URL and clicking on 'Update' nothing is displayed under 'Available sublayers'.
The WMS may only contain a root <Layer> element but no list of child elements. Spotfire only shows the list of child elements, which would result in no sublayers being listed if there are no child elements defined WMS layer.
The official specification on this:
- Each available map is advertised by a <Layer> element in the Capabilities XML. A single parent Layer encloses any number of additional layers, which may be hierarchically nested as desired.
