Problem:
How to manually refresh the data connection cache on TIBCO Spotfire Web player when caching settings are done through data connections
Solution:
The data retrieved from a data connection can be cached as per the settings found here:
For TIBCO Spotfire 7.14.0 and lower:
- Edit > Data Connection Properties > Data Connection Settings > Cache Settings.
- Data> Data Connection Properties > Data Connection Settings > Cache Settings
1. Open the TIBCO Spotfire Analyst with a new session (this will load fresh data)
2. For TIBCO Spotfire 7.14.0 and lower:
- Go to Edit > Data Connection Properties > Data Connection Settings > Cache Settings and change the cache expiration time (this will generate new cache) and click OK.
- Go to Data > Data Connection Properties > Data Connection Settings > Cache Settings and change the cache expiration time (this will generate new cache) and click OK.
Now open the analysis on TIBCO Spotfire Web Player and the new data will be loaded and the cache will be updated. Doc: Details on Data Connection Settings – Cache Settings
