Problem:

Error when connecting to an Oracle data source using the Oracle Client Data Provider in TIBCO Spotfire: "System.Data.OracleClient requires Oracle client software version 8.1.7 or greater"


Solution:

While using the Oracle client data provider to connect to Oracle database, below error message is received
