Problem:
Web Player is unable to open a file on a shared drive with DNS CNAME alias when Spotfire is configured for Kerberos authentication
Solution:
Using Web Player with Kerberos authentication and trying to open a file from a shared drive with CNAME alias does not work and you may get error message similar to:
Spotfire.Dxp.Data.Exceptions.ImportException: Unable to import Access database. Message returned: 'The Microsoft Access database engine cannot open or write to the file '\\<CNAME>\<share name>'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view and write its data. When using file server and when an application or user uses the actual storage name (the NetBIOS name or the FQDN) for files or other resources on the server access is successful.
