Images used as Category Axis labels via "Image from URL" renderer do not update when source file is updated

Custom images can be used for category axis labels in visualizations by using "Image from URL" renderer settings (see references for details). When the custom image is updated in the folder, for example an image file is replaced by a newer version, the image label still renders as the old image in Spotfire, rather than the new one. Re-opening the analysis file does not help. This is because the images are cached in an application service, which only expires when the application session is closed. Re-opening the analysis would still use the old image which is cached in an application service.

To resolve the issue and have the updated image files seen in the category axis labels, close and reopen the TIBCO Spotfire installed client. For a workaround, see KB 000041940 How always to render a new image from data column at reload.
