Problem:

How to enable or disable the Find tool in an Analysis


Solution:

The Find tool is a fast way to find contents in your data. It consists of a text field where you enter a search string and get a list of search results. To access the tool, click Find on the menu bar, or press Ctrl+F. But there may be times when you want to disable that to have more control over data access within your analysis.
  If you do need to disable the Find tool, please follow these steps to disable the license:

  1. Log on to TIBCO Spotfire Analyst client as an administrator.
  2. Click on Tools > Administration Manager
  3. Click on Groups and Licenses
  4. Click on the group that you want to enable/disable this license for and on the right pane, click on Licenses
  5. Expand the TIBCO Spotfire Enterprise Player and uncheck the 'Find' license to disable it (Check the license to enable it. By default, this is enabled)
  6. Click on OK and Close. 
  7. Close and restart the TIBCO Spotfire Analyst session for this new license change to take effect.
